RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Learners will:

  • Respect the rights of other learners and staff

  • Be cooperative, considerate, supportive and courteous

  • Develop responsibility for maximising own learning

 

Staff will:

  • Respect the rights of learners, parents and other staff

  • Be approachable, listen, and supportive

  • Ensure learner safety at all times

  • When teaching, meet the needs of learners

 

Parents are expected:

  • To respect the rights of staff

  • To be cooperative, considerate, supportive and courteous

  • To effectively communicate concerns and influences relevant to their child’s behaviour

  • To assist with changing inappropriate ways of how their child is behaving

  • To develop responsibility for maximising their child’s own learning

 

RIGHTS

 

Learners expect:

  • To be treated with courtesy and respect

  • To be able to learn in an encouraging, safe, supportive, and positive environment

  • To receive support, consideration and encouragement

 

Staff expect:

  • To be treated with courtesy and respect

  • To work in a pleasant and safe environment and to be able to achieve job satisfaction

Parents deserve:

  • To be acknowledged and treated with courtesy and respect.

  • To participate in decision making regarding their child’s behaviour when appropriate.
